Asylum Love Stories, chapter two*Teo’s p.o.v.*Asylum Love Stories, chapter two by lariceli
I woke up to the sun blinding me through a stupid crack in the curtain. I turned away from the curtain and looked around. I had no way of telling the time, since all electronic devices were taken away from you as soon as you got here.
Sammy, my roommate, was already fully awake. He was drawing on his arms like he always does, probably doodles and music lyrics. His dark curls bounced around as he got up and walked over to me with his notebook. He wrote something down before passing it to me. Yes, he’s mute by choice. His note read: ‘Morning! Any idea how to tell time without a clock? I really wanna see Chris!’
I chuckled. Chris was his girlfriend. They were both eighteen, but they couldn’t leave the asylum because no one saw them as “cured”. I could see why; Chris suffered from panic attacks that made her hurt herself. Sammy had been mute for eight years. He muttered a word now and then to me, but he only really talked to Chris.

It’s been one month since I came to Haven Roads Asylum. I should probably be saying something like “I’m glad I’m recovering” but who really ever recovers from depression mixed with anxiety and hearing voices?
Let me introduce myself: my name is Teo. I’m seventeen years old; male obviously and about two, almost three months ago, I tried to kill myself. I would have succeeded but my sister barged in before I could make the final cut. She “saved” me and I let her. She’s the only person who really cares for me. My parents have made it their job to put me down and remind me how worthless I am. My sister has looked out for me for a few years now. She’s even stood up for me; she really puts up a fight. And she’s only eleven. I’m really glad she can visit me when she can. Last time I saw her it was a Wednesday. She told me she’d visit me next Thursday.
Today is Monday. Everyone hates Mondays and I can

Once upon a time there was a small simple village outside a fairly wealthy and majestic kingdom.
I know what you’re thinking.
In this small village lived a boy destined for greatness? No.
How about a girl who could kick ass? No again.
I’m not sure who the hero is if I’m perfectly honest. You can decide in the end.
One thing that remains a cliché in my story is the king who basically wants everything.
The village hasn’t been affected by his greed, not yet at least but we’ll come to that.
The villagers aren’t wealthy, they practically live off nothing but they’re happy. The few farmers work in the fields all day and provide enough food for everyone. The traders trade fair in the nearby towns and other villages.
But this village is special. It has no name. It’s just called “The Village”. It’s not very big either, there are probably ten mayb
